RogerRoger

A Unity game in development, combining multiplayer systems, crew selection, and contextual gameplay presentation.

RogerRoger brings together the parts of game development I keep returning to: distributed state, responsive interaction, and a world that communicates what is happening without making the player study its internals.

Current work

The September implementation includes Orbital interface layouts, crew preview and selection, contextual interaction prompts, multiplayer failure feedback, and updated gameplay assets. Dedicated art, shader, and animation review scenes support focused inspection.

Engineering focus

Release tooling, environment culling controls, and editor validators help connect the authored scene to a reproducible build. The next useful evidence is integrated runtime validation and representative performance profiling for the current revision.

Status

In development. The recent Unity 6.6 and presentation changes have recorded verification gaps. A tvOS build target exists, but the reviewed commit does not establish a successful device build or public release.

The accompanying article, The Build Passed. Is the Game Ready?, explores how I distinguish implementation progress from release evidence.

Notes from the work

More work, more lessons.
